WHO IS UPSTAGE? A PROUD MEMBER OF THE COLUMBIA COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE! OUR BEGINNINGS: Once upon a time there were two organizations - "The Hudson Teachers’ Association" in 1989 and "The Columbia Hall Players" in 1990. They were merged in 1991 and became "The Hudson Middle School Friends of the Arts", a group that produced shows in 1992-93. It was in 1993 that the concept of Upstage was born. Bylaws were written and the group was officially formed in 1994; Upstage Productions, Inc. was filed in 1995. The corporation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of thirteen officers, who preside from September 1st through August 31st. Monthly meetings of the Board are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month and are open to all members.
